1. Application

This integrated L-shaped long cantilever aluminum base plate is a core load-bearing and mounting reference component customized for multi-station equipment in automated production lines, precision instrument long-travel modules, and industrial robot end mounting platforms. With an integrated structure of main platform and long cantilever, it serves as the mounting reference inside the equipment, undertaking the functions of precise positioning, rigid support and linear guidance for control units, actuators and end tools. It perfectly adapts to industrial automation working conditions with long travel, high parallelism and high load, and is widely used in scenarios such as automated testing lines, precision instrument frames and multi-axis motion modules, providing stable and reliable rigid mounting reference for multi-station equipment.

2. Material & Performance

Core Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy (preferred material for industrial equipment structural parts, adapting to the high strength, lightweight and long cantilever rigidity requirements of this part)

Key Performance:

  • Tensile strength ≥310MPa, yield strength ≥276MPa, with excellent bending resistance and fatigue resistance, can withstand concentrated loads at the end of the long cantilever

3. Processing Method

This part adopts 5-axis linkage CNC high-speed precision milling process, integrally cutting and forming from a solid aluminum bar, completely avoiding the cantilever rigidity hidden danger caused by welding/splicing.

  • Core processes: precision milling of main platform reference surface, integrated forming of long cantilever, high-precision mounting hole/positioning post processing, forming of special-shaped contours and guide grooves
  • Auxiliary processes: high-gloss contour chamfering, deburring, surface brushing treatment, ensuring no sharp edges and stress concentration
  • Full CNC programming, one-time clamping to complete full-length processing, ensuring the consistency of straightness of the main platform and cantilever and geometric tolerances of mounting holes
4. Machining Accuracy & Usage Requirements

Machining Accuracy:

  • Dimensional tolerance: ±0.015mm, strictly matching the assembly clearance of equipment modules
  • Geometric tolerance: cantilever straightness ≤0.02mm/500mm, mounting hole coaxiality ≤0.02mm
  • Surface roughness: Ra≤1.6μm, smooth and burr-free mounting reference surface, improving assembly fit

Usage Requirements:

  • Adapt to a conventional industrial working environment of -20℃~85℃, can withstand concentrated load ≥500N at the end of the cantilever and high-frequency vibration
  • No deformation or loosening during long-term use, ensuring the positioning accuracy and operation stability of equipment modules
  • Clean the reference surface before installation to avoid impurities affecting the installation accuracy and cantilever rigidity
5. Heat Treatment

With heat treatment, adopting solution treatment + artificial aging (T6 state) process.

  • Core purpose: eliminate processing internal stress, improve material strength and dimensional stability, avoid warpage and deformation of the long cantilever after long-term use, and ensure the long-term consistency of straightness and mounting reference.
6. Post-treatment

Natural color brushing treatment, retaining the original metallic texture of aluminum alloy.

  • Process advantages: improve surface wear resistance and scratch resistance, optimize appearance texture, enhance the anti-slip property of the mounting reference surface, facilitate assembly positioning inside the equipment, fully meet environmental protection requirements, and can be used directly without additional coating.
7. Quality Control

  • Raw material incoming: spectral material inspection to ensure 6061-T6 alloy composition and mechanical performance meet standards
  • Processing process: 100% geometric tolerance inspection, focusing on monitoring cantilever straightness and mounting hole accuracy
  • Final product inspection: appearance defect inspection, full dimensional inspection, straightness test, traceable inspection report for each batch
  • Pre-delivery: cleanliness inspection to ensure no iron chips and impurities on the reference surface and threaded holes, meeting precision assembly requirements
